My art and other stuff page

I am very fond of graphics and art in general of any kind, I don't have a preferred type but I like to see different things.

I am not very able to draw, well actually I never did my best to improve or exercised much but there are moments I pick up a pencil/pen/whatever and I start putting on paper something that is different from my usual electronic diagram, formulas, programs or other things I have in mind.

Unfortunately for you .. most of what I draw during such moments is .. let's say "too personal to be easily shown" .. but anyway there are things I did time ago and I'd like to share with you.

Time ago I was trying to draw goats, I thought it might be a good exercise to understand how to draw a goat in starting to copy some real photos, so that's what I did, there are drawings did by ink pen directly on paper so no retouch or rubber ...

More than "manual art" I am a "computer graphic fond", I don't use the word "artist" cause it could be "too much for me", I always been much into math and formulas as a passion and I always tried to write programs to render what I was seeing in my mind.

In fact, the passion was "double", it was nice to study the formulas and even nicer to write the program to display them.

I started doing such things with my first (and for long time the only one) graphic computer I had, a Sinclair ZX Spectrum with 48K ram I think my "masterpiece" has been my ray tracing program that was able to render composition of spheres with up to 4 light sources and a background plane using photometric curves to define light sources, my light source were not "points" and this was around 1986

I still have somewhere three photos on slides .. but I have to find where they gone, "lost" somewhere in my cardboard boxes when I moved into my new house ..

So .. here some things I did with some explanations close, most of my computer works were written in Pascal, the "famous" HP4T15M Hisoft pascal for ZX Spectrum, I still have some sources on tapes, then when I got my second computer a Sinclair QL I started working in C and Motorola 68000 assembler, unforunatelly most of those pictures are still in QL format on a Seagate 20Mb HD

I have to put back to life this computer to take them out somewhere ..

Ok so here something I did .. I hope you'll like it ..

A Saanen goat I drew at Hopper's
house an afternoon some days
before AAC2.

*SIGH* the ill goat I used to express my
sadness in an old web page.
Of course I DO NOT like to see goats that way ! Baaa ...

A doe peacefully eating some hay ...
